Note on "Academic Level" Definitions
The academic level categories used on these sheets are: "undergraduate", "graduate", "other" and "OPT" (Optional Practical Training). “Undergraduate” includes students at both two-year and four-year institutions. “Graduate” includes students in graduate and professional degree programs. "Other" refers to non-degree students, including students enrolled in intensive English programs. "OPT" refers to students participating in Optional Practical Training, temporary employment directly related to an F-1 student’s major area of study. These students are still under the visa sponsorship of their college or university and are still considered international students even though they may have completed their course of study.
